Empty Frame Productions creates original theatre inspired by history.

We are interested not simply in what happened, but in the people to whom it happened,  their choices, their contradictions, their courage and their humanity.

Our productions bring those worlds to life through a combination of storytelling, imagery, projection, music, movement and light. Each element has a purpose. Sometimes what is left unseen, or unsaid, can be as powerful as what appears on the stage.

We want audiences to experience history rather than simply observe it.
