Empty Frame Productions believes that theatre can give young people something the classroom alone cannot,  the opportunity to step inside history and experience the people, choices and events that shaped it.

Our productions are designed to engage students through storytelling, imagery, projection, music and movement,  bringing the past to life without losing sight of the history itself.

The Queen Without a Face introduces students to the extraordinary story of Lady Jane Grey and the Tudor world in which she lived. It explores power, faith, family, identity and the consequences of decisions made by those around her,

while encouraging students to question how history is written, remembered and represented.

Performances for schools will be supported by educational material designed to encourage discussion before and after the visit.

DON'T JUST TEACH THEM HISTORY.
